In the Windows 7 guest operating system, you will see that Windows couldn't automatically install the driver for the used USB bus controller since it doesn't.

VirtualBox is free and enterprise-ready virtual machine platform that allows you to run other operating systems within Windows. Using VirtualBox you are able to install other operating systems into a virtual computer that can be launched and used directly within Windows. This allows you to run virtually any operating system at the same time while using Windows.
When using VirtualBox, the software is installed on the host machine and then any other virtual machines are considered guests of that host. These guest virtual machines can be running a variety of different operating systems that include older versions of Windows, linux, and even MacOS with some tweaking. Using a program like VirtualBox allows you to perform a variety of tasks from a single computer such as testing operating systems before you install them, run software that only works on older versions of Windows, analyze malware without risk of your normal machine becoming infected, and to develop software for other operating systems. I've set up a few linux variants on my Windows 7 laptop. Ubuntu, Gentoo and Fedora have worked fine, but I'm having issues with Mandriva 2001.2.
I've downloaded the 32-bit ISO and attached it as the boot media. I've set up a 10 gig fixed sized disk (as with the other installations).
I've booted the installation media, selected my regional settings, and selected erase and use the full disk.
The installation program then lists the installation media, and I've selected none for the additional media to configure.
When I click install all the installation packages fail, one after another.
I've also tried including the CD-ROM but that gives other errors.
